Lab Assignment 5- Web Mapping: My Common Carleton Locations

I found it pretty fun to create my own map of Carleton College. Something that was a little irritating was creating the sketches because I wasn’t originally able to figure out finishing the sketches for the locations I chose. So, after I discovered double clicking finished the sketch, I was then able to save that to my map. I find that web mapping is pretty cool especially if someone wants to make it more personalized. I thought that ArcGIS Online was straightforward to use for the most part. The functions and labels for things were pretty upfront. The panels on the side definitely made it easier to figure out how to perform certain actions.

These are the locations I chose: Carleton Map Data. I chose these locations because they are my most visited ones on campus. I wanted to create a map that represented my life at Carleton as accurately as possible (through a map).

Here’s my Interactive Web App! Enjoy!
