FINAL PROJECT: TEAM CHARTER

Here is our team (Rigley, Joey, Joshua, Peter) charter, which we drafted together:

Shared Values

As members of our team, we will enjoy and learn from the progress, build digital humanity related skills, and improve communication skills. We not only care about the output of the project but also the valuable knowledge and experience learned from it. We aim to create a welcoming environment for group working, which encourages ideas exchanging and efficient communication. In the end, we hope to learn from each other and from the project.

Goals

Our common goal is to create a project that is accessible and legible for students, faculty, and people beyond the Carleton community. We hope not only to offer inspiration or knowledge, but also to enrich the experience of people. During the process, we strive to create a welcoming environment for everyone who participates. Ultimately, we value the experience of every individual who is in contact with us.

Expectation

As a member of a group, we should attend group meetings, contribute ideas, and be respectful of others’ thoughts. We expect each group member to apply their skills and knowledge in the areas that they are interested in. Each group member should also meet the expectations set during team meetings on the parts of the project that they are working on.

Communication and Disagreement

We can work together and try to each input different ideas and perspectives. If we disagree, we can meet to resolve them and find the best solution to meet our final project goals. During the project, if we encounter any forms of frustration, we will assist each other and offer our best solutions.

Responsibilities

We plan to contribute roughly equal amounts and support each other with ideas. We haven’t finalized specific responsibilities for the project at the moment. However, as a group, we have students from a variety of backgrounds across history, computer science, and math. We will divide our roles based on our experience and skills.
