I found it pretty interesting that you used R to do your data cleaning, given that we’ve used tools like DevTools, Refine, etc. It seems that you were pretty efficient with your process! I’m curious-what made you want to use R and how was your experience doing so?
Hi Peter! I think this is a really interesting way to apply quantitative analysis to comic books. The relationship between initiating physical conflicts and being rendered unconscious is especially interesting because it reveals a possible connection between aggression and vulnerability. I also like that you acknowledge the limitations of raw counts and suggest using event severity as a direction for future research.
