I completed a text analysis of Thoreau’s Walden using Voyant Tools, analyzing the text for different word frequencies and relationships, and thinking about how they each contribute to an understanding of the text as a whole.

I think your project turned out really cool. I didn’t personally have much luck with Voyant when we tried it out a few weeks back, so it’s cool that you got results from it. Out of curiosity, have you read Walden? I agree that analyzing a text distantly combined with close reading can bring about new ideas and questions.
Hi! I have read it, but not for some time! I did find it helpful to know the general structure of the text before analyzing it using Voyant—I think that helped me get better results.
