Midterm: The Evolution of Uncanny X-Men Covers

For my Digital Humanities midterm, I created an interactive webpage using Flourish visualizations to examine how the number of characters, amount of written text, and frequency of character appearances vary across Uncanny X-Men covers from issues #100–149.

  1. Jake, this is an awesome midterm! I am most impressed with the details in your website design, and I especially love the character silhouettes at the top of the page – they make it feel like a comic book cover! Your graphs make everything super easy to understand, and I was honestly surprised by the results. I would have imagined Wolverine would be the most popular character.
